Packaging perfection
A modern aircraft is a miracle of packaging and efficiency - in no other industry is accuracy, reliability and low installed mass so important. Oxsensis offers a unique combination of products and services that help aircraft and engine manufacturers manage these challenging requirements.Oxsensis sensor systems give you the ability to gather data from the hottest and most hostile locations – from the depths of the engine to right inside braking systems. What’s more, as Oxsensis sensors are non-electrical, they give you the opportunity to eliminate electrical sensor systems from fuel system components.
Oxsensis is currently involved in HEATTOP and a number of other joint technology programmes, and is working with engine and airframe manufacturers to certify its EMI-immune sensor technology for flight use.
As well as our sensor systems, we are developing flight-capable packaging for our i-Phire data interrogators – allowing Oxsensis technology to be directly integrated with flight control systems.
Our fibre optic sensors can go places where even the best electronic sensors will fail, giving you unprecedented levels of control in the harshest of conditions:
* Extreme temperatures of >1000°C (1800°F)
* Hostile / corrosive chemical environments
* High levels of electromagnetic interference
* Need for interrogation at a distance
* No electrical power available at the sensor head
Our sensors are ultra-rugged, reliable and temperature-tolerant to over 1000 degrees Celsius, meaning that they can gather data in more hostile conditions than any other sensor.
